End of the month

Well it is the end of a month and it has been a rocky one, mainly due to weather. It was ended on a great note though, the plastic for the entire massively huge greenhouse is up. Many thanks go out to K and Tony as well as Irene, and of course we cannot forget Greg, as well as thank you to Chuck, Christal, Shelley, Malydia, Wendy, Paul and Susan for assisting with the framing. This is truly an Amish barn raising even though none of us are Amish, I guess they have taught us something. It is easier to do projects with friends and neighbors.

" Today, more than ever before, life must be characterized by a sense of Universal responsibility, not only nation to nation and human to human, but also human to other forms of life."

Here are a few pictures of yesterdays events.

Before the plastic

Finishing touches to the plastic on one end.

Tomorrow you will see the finished greenhouse. It was done on the last day of the month, which means the first day of the new month will be wonderful. K and I will go buy materials to make the tables and then we can start moving in the plants.

A quote from Tony, " they beat the wind" !  It was pretty windy today but they got it done.

"Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them. "

So a new day for a new month starts tomorrow, so tune in for another report tomorrow with new pictures.

The wonderful beach chairs in a brief snow storm, is it not beautiful. Not sure if you can see it but in the middle of the chairs is a great table made by Shelley and Malydia. It is being painted by K.

Tre' AWEN

Good Morning , Eve is back from a hospital visit and all is well.

Sometimes in life I feel that we all need reminders , our lives get so busy I know we forget things, no I am not talking about groceries or paying a bill, I am talking about how we act and how we live. There are universal laws that we need to be reminded of and here is one of them.

The law of cause and effect is known as karma. Nothing ever happens to us unless we deserves it. We receive exactly what we earn, whether it is good or bad. We are the way we are now due to the things we have done in the past. Our thoughts and actions determine the kind of life we can have. If we do good things, in the future good things will happen to us. If we do bad things, in the future bad things will happen to us. Every moment we create new karma by what we say, do, and think. If we understand this, we do not need to fear karma. It becomes our friend. It teaches us to create a bright future.
The kind of seed sown will produce that kind of fruit.

Those who do good will reap good results.

Those who do evil will reap evil results.

If you carefully plant a good seed, You will joyfully gather good fruit.

Dhammapada

I picked this lesson since we are in the process of planting our seeds. A few months back I ordered some seeds from a non profit company and since I have heard nothing and received nothing I figured it was a fake company and the check of ours that they cashed would be my lesson, so I gave up on receiving the seeds. Well low and behold yesterday while lying in bed after my time spent in the hospital and pkg arrived by UPS, it was filled with hundreds of pks of seeds and many pairs of brand new gloves. So my lesson once again is to believe and to let GOD, I have done good deeds so I will receive good deeds.

So for today's blog go out into the world and do good deeds, they will come back to you ten fold.
